American Heart Association BLS Courses in Springfield, Illinois
These courses are held at Memorial Medical Center in the Memorial's Center for Learning and Innovation in Springfield, Illinois and are open to the general public.
Course Description. This course will cover the concepts of high-quality CPR, 1- and 2-Rescuer CPR for all ages, use of an AED, differences between the age groups, use of a bag mask and choking. First Aid is not included in this course. A 25-question written exam will be given at the end of the class.
Target Audience. Healthcare professionals who are required to have an official course completion card and who provide patient care in a variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. Applicable to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, MDs, dental and vision professionals and those students who are enrolled in a healthcare field of study.
Fee Information. Pre-payment is not required. However, pre-payment does enable you to receive your book prior to class. You can pay with a personal check or at the door. Please note, course completion cards will be held until personal check funds have cleared.
Student Textbook. If you pay your registration fee before class, you can pick up your textbook.
Be on time. Please allow plenty of time to drive, park and find the class. Late entries will be turned away 10 minutes after class starts.
Food. You may bring food with you to class, just ensure that drinks have a lid and food is easy to contain and not too messy.
Cancellations. Please let us know if you can't attend, even if it's last minute. We've saved a spot just for you!
No Shows. A re-enrollment fee will apply in the event of a no show.
Parking. The class location is in the Memorial's Center for Learning and Innovation, which is on the corner of Miller and Rutledge Streets at 228 W. Miller St., Springfield, IL. Please park in the parking ramp in a spot designated for MCLI Events Only. There is a bridge from the 3rd floor of the parking ramp to the 2nd floor of the Center for Learning and Innovation.
